Hello!

Hi!  I am VERY new to this whole blogging thing!  I have a few friends that "blog" and am really excited to start writing down the precious moments in my life.  I am not good at journaling, so I hope to be able to look back on this in years to come to remember how incredible my life was at one point.  Why is my life incredible?  Well, the answer is simple.  I am married to the most amazing man and have a 3 month old baby boy, and both make life amazing every day.

Background on my family and myself:
I was born and raised in Belleville, IL.  I graduated from Maryville University in 2007 with my physical therapy degree.  I worked mainly in inpatient rehab, focusing on stroke and brain injury rehab until the birth of my son.  Since then, I have decided to cut back on my work load and currently work anywhere from 1 to 3 days a week.  I am loving being able to stay at home with my little boy and watch him grow.

My Husband:
Gordon Richard Brownfield Jr. grew up in Arnold, MO.  He was a student at several colleges until he finally settled in at Marvyville (after I had graduated).  He graduated with a degree in actuarial sciences.  If you would like more information on this, please ask him!  I am terrible at explaining this to anyone!  He currently works with IT consulting on website stuff.  Again, please direct all questions to him if you wonder what, specifically, he does!

How we Met:
I met Gordon around 2005 or 20066-ish.  We both worked together at Dick's Sporting Goods.  As he will tel you, sparks did not fly initially, at least not on my end.  :)  After awhile, he somehow agreed to start running with me.  He claimed to be a runner, but in hindsight, this was just a ploy to spend more time with me!  After a few runs, we got to know each other on a more personal level, and began dating soon after. We married on December 18, 2010 and had our son on August 2, 2013 (p.s. he arrived on my mom's birthday). If you would have told me back in 2006 that I would be married to Gordon, I would have probably laughed and thought you were losing your mind!  Just another example of how God works in mysterious ways; we would never understand the plan if we knew it ahead of time.

About us:
We try hard to put God first in our marriage.  We have only recently developed a personal relationship with God, so we are still learning what it means to have Him in every aspect of our lives.  Please help us in this journey and hold us accountable.

Thank you for having an interest in my blog, and let me know if there are things you want to know more about, or if something is incredibly boring!!!
